free

This morning, as I'm going about mucking out the house from the weekend and washing a week's worth of laundry, I keep going over Oliver Wendell Holmes' poem The Chambered Nautilus in my mind. If you don't know this poem, it's worth a read. The last stanza is the part I love:

"Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul,
As the swift seasons roll!
Leave thy low-vaulted past!
Let each new temple, nobler than the last,
Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,
Till thou at length art free,
Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea!"

Just an uplifting thought for an ordinary Monday. Always helps me remember what I'm actually doing here. Good luck with everything you have to do!
