Last night when Jess came in from work he happened to mention that it was snowing. We all rushed out to the front porch, and sure enough, flakes were falling on our Georgia front yard. Thomas threw his arms wide and shouted, "Oh! Is it A LIZARD?"
Jess dug out an old strobe light, which made the snow look like glitter, and the children played in the wet snow until they were shivering. The picture above is of the crape myrtle with the snow falling in front of it. Then we all came in and had hot bean and sausage stew. (The source of which sausage shall remain unnamed...)
By morning what was left of the yard's white coating was slush, and the rain during the day washed the rest away. For a minute there we could pretend we lived in some northern clime with long, snowy winters. But yeah, it was more like a lizard than a blizzard.

Erin, lovely. Thanks for sharing that moment. And spontaneity! A strobe light on hand must have made it magical!
